A Message from the Secretary-Treasurer

Happy Friday GAITE Members and Friends,

Hopefully everyone is thawing out from the colder weather this week, and I was excited to see it didn't deter anyone from engaging in all the great demonstrations from the GDOT Transpotation Tech Showcase on Tuesday. It was a fantastic event that was able to really showcase the innovations in our state and industry. Big thank you to all of those that volunteered their time.

GAITE is also rounding out January with an exciting networking event put together by your Activities Committee. On Wednesday, January 29 at City Tap in Midtown, we will be hosting a friendly competition of transporation knowledge to help prepare our Georgia Tech student chapter for the upcoming SDITE Traffic Bowl. Food and beverage will be provided so make sure to RSVP. Even if you aren't one for transportation trivia, this event will certainly be a great one for mingling and entertainment.

Upcoming in February will be our Monthly Meeting at Mary Macs and also the SDITE Student Leadership Summit. The Summit will be held in our very own backdoor at Georgia Tech. Let's represent Georgia well to both students and the Southern District by signing up and showing up.

As a reminder, if you are looking for information from a previous e-blast, please see the archived Newsletter section of our website if you did not receive or do not still have the emailed version.

With that, please see our new navigable sections below for event details and information!
