Happy Friday everyone! Nominations for the 2021 Georgia ITE Board of Directors have officially closed. The following individuals have accepted the nomination to serve on the Board of Directors:

The names above will be included on the ballot which will be sent out on Sunday, November 15, 2020. This year, all voting will take place electronically. The results of the election will be announced at the annual meeting which will be held in mid-December. The winning candidates will join Kate Shearin (who will be serving as Immediate Past President) and Kelly Patrick (who will be in her second year of Section Representative) to make up the 2021 Board of Directors.
Bios for each of the candidates will be included in a future newsletter and you'll have an opportunity to hear a short campaign speech during the November monthly webinar on Thursday, November 19, 2020.

This month’s webinar will feature a panel presentation from the above subject matter experts and discussion on electric vehicle trends across the nation and in Georgia. The discussion will focus on the following issues: consumer demand, auto manufacturer production, charging infrastructure, implications on the built environment and associated policy/regulatory implications, and the role of electrification in the world of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

2020 GEORGIA ITE AWARDS SEASON IS HERE!!!
Nominations have now opened for the 2020 Georgia ITE Awards. Now is the time to recognize that co-worker, colleague, teacher, mentor or agency who has had a major impact on the transportation industry. The Georgia Section has several awards including:

Marsha Anderson Young Member of the Year Award
Karl Bevins Distinguished Service Award
Georgia Section Agency Achievement Award
Transportation Professional of the Year
Georgia Section Award for Innovation in Transportation
Georgia Section Idea Sharing Award
Additionally, we have provided an opportunity to nominate others which have had a significant impact on our industry which might not fit into one of the categories above.

The 2020 Joint Georgia and South Carolina ITE Technical Exchange is back and scheduled for Friday, October 23 from 12:00pm to 1:30pm EDT. This year's format is a bit different as it will be held virtually. This will be a more limited Technical Exchange then previous years and will include a social event on the 22nd and the exhcange on the 23rd over lunch. Additional details will be posted soon about the speakers, topics and the corresponding social event. Please CLICK HERE for more information and to register.
Registration will be required to receive PDH credits.
Access ITE 2020 Annual Meeting Session Recordings before October 31st
If you missed the virtual Annual Meeting in August, or if you registered but weren’t able to “attend” some of the sessions, it’s not too late! Click on the link below to register and access all of the session recordings and earn PDHs. Once you’ve registered (or if you already did earlier in the year), you’ll then just sign in to stream the available sessions. After completing a session, you’ll be given the ability to click on a follow-up link to earn the PDHs for that session. This content is only available through the end of October, so time is running out!
