Planning Committee
The Planning Committee invites you to attend the AASHTO Census Transportation Planning Conference (ACTS) in early June. This conference is held every five years and is an opportunity for users of the Census Transportation Planning Package (CTPP) and other Census data to exchange knowledge and share experiences.
Presentation topics cover best practice, research, and innovations. There will be opportunities for attendees to receive training, learn about innovative research and applications, and better understand the impacts of federal policy on Census data. Stakeholders from MPOs and RDOs, state DOTs, the federal government, academia, and industry are all represented.
Technical Tour - Netherlands

The Georgia Section of ITE (GAITE) sent a delegation of members to the Netherlands for a week in late April. We were joined by three additional members from NCSITE and KSITE. The objective was simple: Go to one of the most bicycle/pedestrian friendly places in the world and see how they do things. We visited Utrecht, Amsterdam, Delft, Rotterdam, and Houten and engaged with a mix of experts and specialists who showed us how the Netherlands conducts their infrastructure design and applications. The entire group came back brimming with excitement and looking for ways to apply what we learned. It was a mix of education and fellowship with many opportunities to see the sights along the way. More detailed presentations will be coming, so stay tuned! There will be a whole Monthly Meeting dedicated to this trip in November, and we expect Summer Seminar and Winter Workshop presentations as well.
