A Message from the Secretary-Treasurer

Dear GAITE Members and Friends,

I hope you all had an excellent new year and took some time to be with family and friends. The 2020 GAITE board is excited to kick off the new year with some great events for our members. As you'll see below, we have a jam packed new year already under way!

But first, we are trying out some new ways of communicating with our membership community. That's you!! E-blasts will now be recorded on our website and sent out to members in the form of a Newsletter. To use this new format, please look to the left to click for additional information for events mentioned in this summary.

Before digging into our events, I'd like to highlight some exciting news. Our very own Georgia Section ITE was announced the large group winner of the 2019 K-12 STEM Competition held by International ITE. Our STEM Day efforts led by Robert Baker and Ramiro Santana at the end of 2019 was submitted. STEM Day was an initiative where members from across the Georgia Section visited local schools to teach students about the transportation profession and helped promote our industry to the next generation. Georgia ITE will receive $250 to use toward future STEM related projects and activities in their area.

With that, please see our new navigable sections below for event details and information!

Sincerely,
Meredith Emory, PE
2020 GAITE Secretary-Treasurer
