What to Expect:

  • Hands-on technical sessions: Dive into cutting-edge solutions for integrating bicycle networks to create safe mobility systems. 
  • Site visits: Explore remarkable advanced cycling infrastructure, smart traffic management systems, multimodal hubs, and sustainable urban and rural transport designs.

  • Move around for a week through the Netherlands using the bicycle and public transport.

 

Schedule

This technical tour will be April 18th through 25th, 2026. The program will begin on Sunday evening (19th) with a group meeting and meal. Technical tours, site visits and expert presentations will occur Monday through Friday with the program concluding with a team meal on Friday evening.
Attendees will arrange their own flights departing Saturday, April 18 to arrive in Amsterdam no later than noon on Sunday (the 19th) and to not leave earlier than mid-morning on Saturday (25th).

 Costs

We are trying to keep the cost within the $4,000-4,500.

  • Participants need to take care of their own flight (estimated $1,200), Hotel (estimated $1,500 for 6 nights), and other miscellaneous costs and some meals (Estimated $300).
  • Costs for technical sessions, bike rental and some meals will be collected via GAITE (estimated $1,250).

  • Formal registration and partial payment is expected this fall.
  • Spaces are limited: To provide better access to project sites and more individualized conversations with Dutch experts, the tour will be limited to 15 participants.
