ITE Georgia Section Transportation Engineering Scholarship
Information accurate as of April 1st 2026.

The Georgia Section will be providing one or more scholarships this year and the award amount(s) will vary. $50,000 in scholarships was awarded in 2025. The award makes considerations for both merit and financial need; however, financial need is not necessary to receive a scholarship.

HISTORY

Since 1986, the ITE Georgia Section (GAITE) has awarded over $300,000 to Georgia students through the GAITE Transportation Engineering Scholarship. Over $150,000 has been awarded since 2019.

The John D. Edwards Memorial Scholarship is the highest award we give out each year to one exceptional applicant. The late John D. Edwards, first President and one of the founders of the Georgia Section of ITE, led an illustrious transportation career throughout Georgia and the country. John stood for service, technical excellence, mentoring, giving back to professional organizations, especially ITE, and was a strong supporter of the scholarship program.
