Summer Seminar 2025 - Day 1

We kicked off Summer Seminar 2025 last night with the Welcome Reception and our annual cornhole competition, hosted by Control Technologies! It was a great evening of reconnecting with old friends, meeting new ones, and enjoying a shared meal together.
This morning started strong with a 5K run/walk presented by Marr, followed by our Conference Opening. Keynote speaker Anna Roach of ARC officially opened the day’s sessions with a fascinating summary of ARC’s current initiatives. We jumped straight into a packed agenda, including agency updates from MARTA, the City of Atlanta, and the City of Savannah. A forward-looking DOT roundtable featured insights from panelists representing GDOT, Cobb County DOT, and ARC. After lunch, we explored ITS topics including work on Akers Mill, TMC response, and SigOps, followed by a deep dive into roundabouts with experts from GDOT, Kimley-Horn, and Barge. It was a busy day with so many great presentations shared! Meanwhile, the kids had their own adventures with beach bocce and an obstacle course!
Lastly, it's not too early to save the date for next year's Summer Seminar. Note that the dates published in the booklet are incorrect. The dates will be July 19-22, 2026, right here at the King and Prince!
